Description

Grinding petal wheels are intended for abrasive processing of flat and concave-convex surfaces of various materials using manual pneumatic and electric machines and on special grinding machines and lines. The main types of circles: - Petal grinding wheels, CL type - Petal end grinding wheels, KLT type - Petal grinding wheels with a mandrel, type CL Petal grinding circles consist of fabric petals covered with abrasive grains. The petals of the sandpaper are located radially relative to the center and firmly fixed in the center of the petal circle. Petal grinding wheels are an indispensable tool for grinding surfaces of complex shape. The structure of the sanding petal wheel provides an extremely soft and comfortable sanding with the best fit to the contours of the object being processed. Petal sanding wheels, as a rule, allow you to achieve a smoother surface faster compared to processing on a machine using a sanding belt. That is why, when choosing the abrasive grain size, you should choose a fraction several steps higher than in the case of grinding on belt grinding machines. When using petal grinding wheels, you should definitely pay attention to the speed of their rotation, because the result of grinding will depend on this direction. If the speed is correctly selected, the petals of the grinding wheel will be located right around the core under the action of centrifugal force. Only in this case, grinding will be optimal - only the edges of the petals will wear and break off, as a result, the work will be performed by a new, sharper abrasive grain every time. If the flap grinding wheels are operated at too low a speed, a larger area of the flaps touches the material, which causes an excessive load on the flaps and leads to their accelerated wear. At the same time, as the speed of rotation of the petal wheel increases, its rigidity also increases. The upper limit of the permissible rotation speed is usually indicated on the marking of the circle.
